By saying that "This before that" always requires a subject do you mean
that events can't be ordered independent of a subject, which I doubt, or
do you only mean that choosing which order is past->future depends on a
subject, which I might agree with. Although I woul argue that the
existence of a subject (sentient being) requires a definite choice of
past->future; I think if we remembered the future, we'd just call it the
past.
