The simplest answer to this question is that this email list is
dedicated to discussing this idea (of the plenitude). If we wanted to
discuss the politics of desexing cats, we'd be involved in a different
email group.
There is currently no proof/evidence either for or against this
idea. Its attraction is one of its compelling explanatory power. By
discussing the consequences of this and related ideas, we might
stumble across a logical contradiction in it, or even a means of
testing it.
Therefore, you are welcome to present compelling arguments against
this idea - we don't treat it as unassailable dogma.
