What happened to everyone?

Did I just "wow" you all into silence with my
brilliant posts? (That doesn't seems likely.)

I was really hoping for some feedback on some of
my ideas, especially the one about the requirement
that the mathematical structure in which we find
ourselves must be the one which admits "the most"
SAS's of our given complexity (whatever 'the most'
means). If this has already been discussed, I
apologize -- I've still been reading the archives,
and am up to about post #200.

FWIW, I'm writing a book on these topics. I started
writing before I found this list. In fact, I found
this list when I started getting serious about doing
research for the book. Until about a year ago (or
was it 6 months?) all I did was muse to myself and
read some pop-science books. I came up with most of
the ideas which you all have discussed independently.

I wasn't sure, before, whether my ideas just might be
new. I was actually starting to get my hopes up that
some of them might be, when I found your list. So it's
been with a mixture of feelings that I've been reading.
Part of me is very glad to find other people who think
like I do -- my wife and most of my friends think I'm
slightly cracked. The other part is a bit jealous.

Anyway, I'm sure I'm not alone in those feelings,
either. My book is at
http://www.chrismaloney.com/projects/book. It's very
embryonic right now -- all I really have ready is the
Preface. That describes a lot of what I've just said
in this post. But hopefully you'll find it interesting,
and hopefully you'll comment on it.
