What do you mean by "better afterlife" here? Do you mean literally a
religious-style afterlife, that his brain will be destroyed and so he
will be dead, and he has to hope that there is some afterlife in Heaven
or some similar place? Or do you mean that he has to hope that his
"identity" will be transfered to the mechanical brain, and that the
afterlife is his life with the mechanical brain?
