I think the following paper will interest you, and perhaps
some other people in the list:
THE TOPOLOGY OF THE POSSIBLE: FORMAL SPACES UNDERLYING
PATTERNS OF EVOLUTIONNARY CHANGE.
by B.M.R. Stadler, P.F. Stadler, G.P. Wagner, and
W. Fontana.
They have make important work on the folding of RNA molecules.
They have also found a special sort of "pretopology" thanks
to which the genotype-phenotype relation and its evolution can
be described as a continuous transformation.
Amazingly enough their formal space are (very?) close to the
mathematical structures which appear in my "phenomenological
quantum logics" (The semantics of the Z1 and Z1* logics).
