Difficult remark. Perhaps we need a satisfying relativistic account of
MWI.
But we don't even really got a satisfying relativistic QM.
Even with 'just' comp, merging is important. I agree. It is also the
existence of merging which make the search for a measure so much
difficult.

My first idea to get an understanding of the first person view of merging
was to made the mergers amnesic, a little like the quantum eraser.
But amnesia with comp still lead to multiplication of possible
continuations.
